A Mini-Fitness Assessment
This basic fitness assessment will evaluate your blood pressure, resting heart rate, body measurements, aerobic capacity, flexibility, strength and posture.
Interval Training for Weight Loss
This program combines aerobic activity, weight training and a healthy eating plan to provide you with a winning combination to reduce body fat,lose weight and keep it off.
Women on Weights
After a certain age we lose muscle mass and gain fat. Keep the scales in balance with weight training. Walk away with a program and the understanding of how to use the strength training equipment that is best for you. Add some arobic activity and a stretching program and you have (exercise) balance.
Strength Training for Men
Learn the best weight training exercises for men, the ones that will keep you in fine form.
Travel Fitness
Our Travel Assesment and exercise plan will help you to personalize your workouts to make sure you're in tip top shape for your travel adventures! Expert trainer Jody Sandler will address your cardio, strength and flexibility levels to ensure that you're fit enough to maximize your travels.
Back and Neck Care Exercises
These exercises will help make the muscles of your back both stronger and more flexible.
Pilates Mat Work with a flex-band
Here, we combine Pilates exercises with tubing in order to provide a total body workout, resulting in a focused strength and stretch routine.
Theraputic Stretch
The time spent stretching each muscle group and the intensity of the stretch are all factors in learning how to help your body heal itself. Learn the 12 stretching exercises that target your major muscle groups and in what order they are done.
Balance and Posture Training
These two techniques are included in all of our programs to help your everyday living situations. Learn specific exercises to help you stand tall and move more efficiently.
Relaxation and Breathing Techniques
Pilates, yoga, weight training all have breathing patterns which help with the exercises created for their area of focus. I don't know what to say about relaxing. Sometimes I use it at the end of the session to help you recover from your workout, other times clients learn specific techniques to help with the stress of living in such a fast paced world.
Urban Pole Walking
Urban Pole Walking
This easy-going but effective cardiovascular workout will help you tone your upper body and improve your overall health. Good for every age and fitness level, it's a wonderful way to be outdoors.

The Travelers' Kit
Mini-circuits, using non-choreographed conditioning moves and tubing for stretch and strength, can easily be done in your hotel room. This package includes one hour of training, tubing and the opportunity to stay connected with In Grand Form via e-mail. This is a good strategy to keep you on track and moving during your trips. The easy-to-pack tubing comes with illustrated instructions and weighs less than 8oz.

The Start-Me-Up Package includes:
  • A basic fitness assessment
  • One half-hour communication via e-mail or telephone

Jody G. Sandler is a British Columbia Recreation & Parks Association professional. She is a registered personal trainer, weight trainer, exercise to music instructor, CPR and fitness first aid attendant. She has been a fitness instructor since 1986 and a personal trainer since 1991. Her latest fitness and lifestyle video, In 2 Grand Form, came out in 1999. In 2001 Jody was nominated by her class participants for the prestigious YWCA Women of Distinction award.
